Just Arrived.... Cute Handmade Coaster Sets!
Say "bye-bye" annoying water circles on all your wood surfaces when you say "hello" to our new line of cute & functional handmade tile coaster sets! There are lots of great themes to choose from, like: wine glasses, vintage motorcycles, leopard print, floral and casino (just to name a few!)
Keep a few of these around for those last minute, hostess gifts, birthday gifts or whatever gifts! They also make cool decorative pieces – stand them up on a shelf or even hang them on your wall.
Each tile is backed with cork to avoid scratching whatever surface you decide to use them on – tables, shelves, your friend’s head (not recommended). They are sealed twice with a waterproof varnish to add shine and protect against water damage, so let your drinks sweat -they're completely functional! To clean them, just wipe with a damp rag.

Watery Grave
Yep, I killed another camera. It's no surprise. I've broken every camera I've ever had. Fortunately I get alot of use out of them before their demise. This time I dumped an entire bottle of water into my bag and it drowned. Rest in peace little Sony camera, RIP.
Now you know the reason I may be a few days behind in posting photos of some of the great new products we'll be receiving over the next couple of weeks. I need to do my research and get a super-duper camera and that takes a little time.
But, of course, if you have time you can always stop by and see them in person :) Here are some of the great things we're expecting:
~ Beautiful handmade silk scarves
~ Sweet Petula handmade olive oil soap, lotions and bath salts
~ Cute new headbands and hats
~ Locally made Right as Rain bath and body products
~ Fun summer bags
~ New yummy gourmet treats
~ Locally made glass bead jewelry
~ Bright and cheery summer linens
~ Plate Gift Sets (perfect hostess gifts!)
~ Kitschy wine coasters
~ Wine glass charms

News Flash!
Many thanks to Tara at the Northern Light for the great write-up (thank goodness she didn't quote and of the dorky things I said.... although, she did mention my cat!) . Here's the great little piece that was run about us today....
Busy B & Co. a labor of love
By Tara Nelson
Bridgette Sanford is a woman with an out-of-control hobby. Fortunately, she also has the business sense and know-how to back it up.
Her passion for crafting hand-made goods led her to open Busy B & Company in Blaine last month. Before that, she operated busybaprons.etsy.com from the basement of her home, earning the recognition of Martha Stewart executives looking for new products to feature on their show.
“I’ve always done crafty things,” she said. “I get bored easily.”Sanford grew up in the rural town of Snohomish and left a career of corporate event planning and marketing to take on a job where she could be creative and enjoy a better quality of life.
So when Blaine resident Christie Lonquist put her Northern Meadows Gift and Wine shop at 684 Peace Portal Drive up for sale last year, Sanford bought it, taking over much of the inventory and bringing in her own products that are both kitschy and functional.
Such items include custom-made “meat lover” aprons, beautiful floral dishwashing gloves and standard issue U.S. Army bags dyed black with bold and fun floral prints.
The store will continue to sell wine with an emphasis on local varieties but will feature more hand-made goods by local residents such as Daniel Su, Elizabeth Woods, Sharon Swanson, Cathy Taggett and Ron Snyder. She will also offer more gourmet food, women’s clothing, accessories, custom sewing and giftbaskets.
Busy B is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and can be reached at 332-4921.

Bling in Blaine
I'm happy to report that we've been super busy the last couple of weeks and are having a great time getting to know the community. We've been pulling out new inventory and sprucing the place up daily so stop by and take a peek!
As many of you, who have already stopped by, may have noticed we're carrying a few new lines of jewelry and baubles by some fabulous local designers. Here are a couple favorites:
The magic is definitely in the details of Elizabeth's beautiful line of everyday and special occasion jewelry. She is a seasoned artist with an extensive background in jewelry sales and design and every piece is meticulously crafted by hand (no pesky little machines are used to twist anything!). She has a wonderful eye for composition and color and her swarovski crystal earrings rival anything I've seen at Nordstroms!

Designer: Heather Saulsbury - Bellingham, WA
If you're looking for a cute, convenient, and well-made gift then you're going to love this new line of earring/jewelry cards by Heather Saulsbury. Each card is a unique handmade piece of art that includes a stylish pair of handmade earrings or a one-of-a-kind vintage brooch.
